House rules

By entering the hotel and or making a reservation, you agree to the following house rules. These rules are established to ensure safety, comfort, and protection of guests, staff, and hotel property.    

General Rules

  1. In case of fire, remain calm and immediately report the fire to hotel staff and or activate the nearest manual fire alarm.
  2. When a general fire alarm sounds, the building must be evacuated immediately.
  3. CCTV surveillance is in operation in and around the hotel. By staying at the hotel, you consent to being recorded. Recordings may be shared with authorized third parties in the event of incidents or emergencies.
  4. The hotel is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.
  5. The management, owner, and employees of the hotel cannot be held liable for personal injury or material or immaterial damage suffered during your stay.
  6. Instructions given by hotel staff regarding house rules, safety, or order must be followed at all times.
  7. In the event of emergencies, instructions from hotel staff must be strictly followed.
  8. The hotel reserves the right to request valid identification at check in and during the stay.
 

Fire Alarm and Fire Safety

  1. Triggering or causing the fire alarm to go off, regardless of the reason and whether intentional or due to negligence, may result in immediate termination of the stay.
  2. All costs resulting from the activation of the fire alarm, including emergency services, security, system reset, and repair costs, will be fully charged to the guest.
  3. In addition, the hotel reserves the right to impose a fine.
 

Prohibited Activities

It is not permitted to
  1. Use emergency exits when there is no fire or emergency. A fine of €100 will be charged in case of misuse.
  2. Remove hotel property from the building. Any damage or loss will be charged to the guest.
  3. Use, possess, trade, or consume drugs, including but not limited to nitrous oxide, whipped cream chargers, cannabis, or other illegal substances. A fine of €200 will be imposed and access to the hotel will be denied immediately.
  4. Cause disturbance inside or around the hotel, including loud music, disruptive behavior, or noise of any kind. A strict zero tolerance policy applies between 22:00 and 08:00.
  5. Occupy the room with more persons than reserved.
  6. Smoke or vape in rooms or any indoor areas. If detected, the stay will be terminated immediately and a minimum cleaning fee of €200 will be charged.
  7. Use decorations that cause excessive cleaning or damage, including confetti.
  8. Light candles or incense in rooms due to fire risk and possible activation of the fire alarm system.
  9. Rent a room in your name without personally staying in the room.
  10. Bring bicycles into hotel rooms.
  11. Use the room for parties, gatherings, commercial activities, photoshoots, or recordings without prior written approval from the hotel.
  12. Receive unregistered visitors in the room without hotel approval.
 

Damage Liability and Access

  1. The guest is fully liable for all damage caused by themselves or accompanying persons to rooms, inventory, or other hotel property, whether intentional or accidental.
  2. Any damage must be reported immediately to the reception or hotel management.
  3. If damage cannot be resolved by regular cleaning, the costs of professional cleaning, repair, or replacement will be charged in full to the guest.
  4. In case of established damage, the hotel reserves the right to demand immediate payment of the estimated repair costs.
  5. Until outstanding charges are paid, the hotel may temporarily deactivate the access code to the hotel and or the room.
  6. Guests are not permitted to carry out repairs or cleaning of hotel inventory themselves.
  7. Moving beds or fixed inventory without hotel permission is not allowed and may be considered damage.
  8. In case of violation of house rules, damage, or dispute regarding liability, the hotel reserves the right to terminate the accommodation agreement immediately.
  9. Even after payment of damages, the hotel may still decide to end the stay if trust has been breached. No refund will be granted in such cases.
  10. Possible compensation through the guest’s liability insurance does not affect the obligation of immediate payment to the hotel.
  11. No refund will be given if the stay is terminated due to violation of house rules or damage.
 

Access and Removal

  1. Hotel de Slapende Hollander reserves the right to require guests to leave the hotel immediately in case of non compliance with the house rules and to charge the full reservation amount.
