Staying in a hotel can sometimes raise some questions. We have already answered many of these questions for you below. Do you still have a question that is not listed? Please feel free to contact us via the contact page.
My reservation
Yes that is possible. If you book via our website, it is possible to pay directly with iDeal, Bancontact and various other payment options.
Reservations made through the website are non-refundable.
If you have booked through Booking.com or Expedia.com, you do have the option to cancel your reservation up to 5 days before arrival. If you have booked via those platforms – and wish to cancel – you can do so via the relevant platform.
It is only possible to stay in our hotel if at least 1 person in the reservation is older than 18 years.
Checking in and out
Check-in with us is possible from 15:00. Earlier check-in is unfortunately not possible due to cleaning.
Because we work with a digital check-in system, you automatically receive an access code for the front door and room door. This happens on the day of arrival between 06:00 and 08:00.
The check-in time is until 8:00 PM. Within that time we can be reached via the Whatsapp number and on location via the digital doorbell.
Check-in is very easy. You will receive an email and/or text message from us between 06:00 and 08:00 on the day of arrival with your room number(s) and unique access code. The access code of your room and the front door are the same.
The e-mail also contains more information about your stay. If you have any questions in advance, please feel free to contact us via the contact form.
Check-out is possible until 11:00 AM. You don’t have to do anything for this. The access code expires automatically after 11:00 AM.
A late check-out is unfortunately not possible at the moment.
The Efteling
Yes. The Efteling is only 300 meters away from the front door of Hotel the Sleeping Dutchman. You can park the car near the hotel and then walk directly to the park.
You can order Efteling tickets directly via the Efteling website itself (click here). Don’t forget to also book your visit, this must be done for all tickets.
Rooms
Of course. The beds are made up and towels are ready for you.
Unfortunately pets are not allowed with us. If pets are found in the room by our staff, the reservation will be suspended.
Unfortunately there is no elevator. Most rooms are located on the first floor.
Smoking is strictly prohibited in our entire hotel. There is a designated smoking zone in front of the hotel.
If there is smoking in the room, the reservation will be suspended immediately, and you will forfeit a fine of at least 100 euros.
Food & breakfast
We currently do not offer breakfast due to a renovation of the breakfast room.
No, we only have breakfast. However, there are plenty of good restaurants near the hotel (even within walking distance), for example:
Mykonos Greek Restaurant – 500m walk
Jit-Sing (chinese) – 500 meters walk
Restaria het Friethuys Kaatsheuvel – 850 meters walk
Grand Café Du Nord – 1000 meters walk
