House rules

Below you will find the most important house rules that apply within our hotel. We kindly ask you to respect and accept these rules for both your safety and ours.

General Rules:

• In case of fire, remain calm. Report the fire immediately and/or activate the nearest manual fire alarm.

• In the event of a general fire alarm, leave the building immediately.

• Security cameras are installed in various areas throughout the hotel. By entering the hotel, you agree to being recorded. In case of emergencies and/or incidents, these recordings may be used as supporting material and shown to third parties.

• The hotel is not responsible for loss or theft of your personal belongings.

• The management, owner of the property, and/or hotel staff cannot be held liable for any injury and/or material or immaterial damage suffered by guests.

• All instructions from hotel staff related to the house rules must be followed. Comments or concerns can be directed to hotel management.

• In case of emergencies, always follow instructions from hotel staff.

It is prohibited to:

• Use emergency exits when there is no fire.

• Remove hotel property from the premises. Intentional damage to hotel property may result in being held liable for repair and/or replacement costs.

• Possess, use, or trade narcotics or intoxicants, including nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and whipped cream chargers.

• Cause nuisance or disturbance to others in or around the hotel, such as playing loud music, engaging in disruptive behavior, or creating noise of any kind.

• We maintain a zero tolerance policy for noise disturbances between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM.

• Occupy a room with more people than the number for which it was reserved.

• Smoking (including but not limited to marijuana and tobacco) and/or vaping in the room is prohibited. If we detect smoking in the room, we will be forced to ask you to leave the hotel. We maintain a zero tolerance policy. Additionally, a minimum cleaning fee of €200 will be charged.

• Use certain decorations in the room, such as confetti.

• Light candles or incense in the room due to the fire alarm system and fire hazard. (The security system will be triggered immediately.)

• Book a room under your name without staying in the room yourself.

• Bring bicycles into the room.

Hotel De Slapende Hollander reserves the right to ask guests to leave the premises for non-compliance with the house rules. In such cases, the full reservation amount will be charged.
